The Verdict Is In -- NOT!

Insurance carrier?
Umar Johnson seems to be standing victoriously on the steps of a court building in Harrisburg, PA.  The crowd is cheering him on as he outlines why he obtained victory.

But here's the thing.  There was no victory.  The hearing, as I understand it, was simply a preliminary step to show cause.  The final decision on whether there is cause will be announced in two to three months.

From The Root:
Here is the problem: In the proceedings, Johnson represented himself, and went to fight the white people without a white-person translator, known as an “attorney,” in the common parlance. Johnson could have legitimately acquitted himself of the charges by simply bringing a copy of his current contract or providing the details when the state prosecutor asked him for the details. (emphasis mine)

Instead, he insisted that “he didn’t see that letter.” Johnson reminded the court that he met with one investigator already, and the next investigator he spoke with didn’t seem serious. He put the prosecutor on the stand and argued with him until the adjudicator intervened. He hounded the attorney. He preached so much that the woman overseeing the hearing threatened to oust Johnson’s supporters for their constant “amens.” He called his supporters as “character witnesses” for them to testify that he never uses the term “psychologist”—only after the attorneys tried to explain that it wasn’t necessary and that it wouldn’t make a difference. They let him do it because they just wanted to go home.

If Umar Johnson could have provided his credentials and a contract with whatever mystery, invisible school he's working with, this hearing could have been over in 10 minutes or less.  He didn't.

Why?

My theory is this.  Umar Johnson does not give one hoot about the State Board of Psychology.  The unnecessary grandstanding, hooping, and hollering Umar Johnson did during that hearing, as described in the article referenced above, was for his audience.

This is why Umar Johnson encouraged folks to come to the hearing.  Umar Johnson needed an audience to showboat for and to prove that he can either beat the machinations of white supremacy or be a martyr to the machinations of white supremacy.

Why?

Umar Johnson's audience needs to believe either scenario because they are the ones who are giving him money, in the form of donations, ostensibly for a school.  Or, they are paying him for "expert service."

Keep in mind that in the four-plus years that Umar Johnson has been accepting donations, there hasn't been a operating plan, a budget, a floor plan, an outline, or a sketch for his imaginary Hotep Dashiki School for Black Boys.

The next steps?

  • The Hearing Officer will receive a certified transcript of the hearing and begin deliberating
  • The Hearing Officer makes a recommendation to the Board of Psychology
  • The Board of Psychology will decide to accept or reject the Hearing Officer's recommendation
  • The decision will be matter of written record and will be accessible to the public

These steps will likely take two to three months.  Umar Johnson is not in the clear.  Also, keep in mind that he's facing the Pennsylvania Department of Education as well.

Of course, Umar Johnson, during that "victory lap," among other things, stated that he thinks the entire Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology is jealous of him.  And guess what?  Umar's cheerleaders/supporters/cult members bought it.

In the meantime, he's on his way to Japan, likely using the people's money to pay for it...but suspiciously, not paying child support for his 6 year-old daughter.

  1. He needs to show evidence of who donated what, physical plans for the school, any property bought etc. He hasn't got a Doctorate from any proper university so he should stop using the fake title.

There's *another* Dr. Umar Johnson but that person is entirely different. If it was a brand name issue, he could possibly be charged with 'passing off' his inferior brand for the real thing. He is *not* the real McCoy!
