Umar the Expert....But Is He?
I am quoting a Paul Nedry who commented in another blog post. See below:
Umar just posted a video where he states that the "No Child Left Behind" is a way a parent can force a school district to move a student to another school. That law was repealed in 2015. This is the supposed expertise that parent are paying for in private consultations or are calling in for advice to Umar's weekly parent teleconference. This is the expertise that comes from the founder of the National Independent Black Parents Association. Sheesh.

Yes, that's what the man said. I pray that Mr. Nedry doesn't mind that I quoted him.
So you all know me...I went on to research to see if there was such a video..and low and behold, there is.
Go to the about the 51 minute mark and listen to about the 53 minute mark
So I thought, well, let me look up the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law to see if it is still in effect.
And, y'all...Guess what I found, y'all...
I read an article from US News and World Report, dated December 9, 2015, saying that the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law has been replaced with something called Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA), with the major change between NCLB and ESSA is the amount of testing that the schools are required to do.
Page 2 of Umar's brochure from his website. Note that he's supposedly expert in Educational Advisement |
Now, that begs the question...how is it that Umar is an 'expert' in these matters when he's posting a video dated May 23, 2017, from China, talking about parents using No Child Left Behind, which isn't even the law anymore?
AND...
It begs another question...who are these folks from Umar's organization, the National Independent Black Parent Association, who were attending the 45th Special Education Law Conference, at Lehigh University, on May 12, 2017, who didn't inform Umar that NCLB is NOT the law anymore?
AND...
Another question can be pondered...what is Umar's legal responsibility, with his credentials that can't be verified; along with his lying; along with his unethical and questionable behavior; not to mention all the money he's collected for a school that has yet to come to fruition, while he's bragging about flying first class, and VIP entry, and paying his own expenses to Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and other locations worldwide; what legal responsibility does Umar have to the parents who take his so-called 'expert' advice about what to do with their children in school?
AND...
What if Umar's so-called 'expert' advice that the parent follows ends up being detrimental to the child in question? Who, besides the child and the parents, should suffer any consequences?
Please, people, use your critical thinking skills because I don't think you REALLY see it.
Umar is using and exploiting our people and throwing it in our faces.

Now, do you see it? By the way, does a professional do this?

But now I got to come out of my face.
That crazy heifer who told me on my Twitter account that I have and I quote, low level comprehensive skills and malicious intent.
Yeah that's what she said, y'all. See...
To her, I say....

In the above video Umar says that exporting Black music is the 2nd largest export for the U.S.

It turns out, the entire U.S. music industry only generates $15 billion per year. That includes revenue generated from all artists, not just Black artists.
