Who Exactly Is Umar Johnson?
Who exactly is Umar Johnson? Did anyone look at Umar's own website to learn anything about him? For example, if one looks at Umar's own website at http://www.drumarjohnson.com/#!services, you will notice that there are several PDF documents found. One of which is a brochure, called DrUmarJohnsonBrochurePDF, highlights the services that Umar claims he offers.
The first page of his brochure calls attention to Umar's supposed relationship to Frederick Douglass. I recall the objections to this via the statements that the Bailey/Douglass family has made. Also, there are no sources, like birth records, death records, marriage records, or divorce decrees, for this abbreviated family tree.
I then noticed that Umar speaks about topics like:
What I also noticed is that there is no information explaining why Umar Johnson is qualified to speak of the subjects named above. There is no listing of his degrees, no titles of his publication(s) that support the above topics, or no names of studies that he has conducted around these topics. Further, does Umar have a law degree? What studies has he conducted around Post-Traumatic Slave Disorder? Is he an effective parent?
Once again, since there isn't any listing of Umar's alleged degrees, publications or studies, I wonder if he is really qualified to conduct assessments, counseling sessions, parent consultations, etc. Recall that in one such session, Umar called out for wife resumes, which is highly inappropriate and unprofessional for a so-called 'therapist.'
And we have seen how Umar deals with conflict. So would he be the one who would guide others on how to resolve conflict?
I ask again, who exactly is Umar Johnson? And I ask if anyone has actually bothered to find this out before throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars to this man?
