The Result of Generational Curses

As a result of listening to the latest interview that Lenon Honor had with Lenae Stacks, I can now see that at least some of  Umar Johnson's behavior could well be the results of generational curses,  mostly from his father , Jamal Johnson. What are Generational Curses Generational curses can be defined as negative patterns, behaviors, or misfortunes that can be passed down through families from one generation to the next.  There are different perspectives on generational curses, ;includes psychological/social perspective and epigenetics. Psychological/Social Some view generational curses expressed psychological/social behaviors as a result of environmental and social factors that are passed down through generations. Epigenetics There's scientific research that suggest that trauma and negative experiences can change gene expression and can be a biological mechanism for passing down certain traits and/or tendencies. Expressions of Generational Curses Below is a short list ...

The Dunning-Kruger Effect

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities.  It was first described by the psychologists David Dunning and Just Kruger in 1999. From:Wikipedia.org  The Dunning-Kruger Effect Basically, the Dunning-Kruger effect is where people think they know more than they actually do. They are basically confident and clueless. The most glaring example of this is our current President. I would submit that another glaring example of this is Umar Johnson.  Why are the effects of the Dunning-Kruger Effect so potentially dangerous, especially if those who operate under it are in a position of authority or posing as one in a position of authority. The Effects of the Dunning-Kruger Effect Making poor decisions Poor decision making can affect any and all areas of one's life, including, career, relationships, and family.  Because one suffering under the Dunning-Kruger Effect...

Future Faking

From:   https://blogs.psychcentral.com/psychology-self/2019/09/narcissist-future-faking/ How Narcissists Use Future Faking to Manipulate You By Darius Cikanavicius, Author, Certified Coach Last updated: 16 Sep 2019 ~ 4 min read Future faking is one of the most prominent yet subtle tools used by people with strong narcissistic tendencies and other dark personality traits . Indeed, if you’ve had the misfortune to interact with a narcissist, you have certainly witnessed future faking in its most detrimental form. So what is future faking, how does it work, and what does it mean? What Is Future Faking? Future faking is when a person lies or promises something about your possible future in order to get what they want in the present. It could be as basic as promising that they will call you later, and then never calling. Or it can be promising to go on a vacation with you, and then never taking any steps to make that happen. Or even promising to marry you, car...

2 Signs That Instantly Identify Someone With Bad Leadership Skills

From: https://www.inc.com/marcel-schwantes/2-signs-that-instantly-identify-someone-with-bad-leadership-skills.html The very traits we thought led to leadership success no longer hold true, according to research. By Marcel Schwantes Founder and Chief Human Officer, Leadership From the Core @MarcelSchwantes Egomaniacs are on rise , especially within the leadership ranks of companies across the world, which is detrimental to good business outcomes.   Leadership and management expert and best-selling author Ken Blanchard warns us The ego is one of the biggest barriers to people working together effectively. When people get caught up in their egos, it erodes their effectiveness. That's because the combination of false pride and self-doubt created by an overactive ego gives people a distorted image of their own importance. When that happens, people see themselves as the center of the universe and they begin to put their own agenda, safety, status, and gratification ahead of...

What’s behind the confidence of the incompetent?

From:    https://www.washingtonpost.com/science/2019/01/07/whats-behind-confidence-incompetent-this-suddenly-popular-psychological-phenomenon/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.633afd271e05 This suddenly popular psychological phenomenon. The Dunning-Kruger effect explains why unskilled people think they know it all and tend to be overconfident. Far from playing chess, some of those who claim high knowledge or skill are simply incompetent — they just don't realize it. By Angela Fritz  | January 7, 2019 You may have witnessed this scene at work, while socializing with friends or over a holiday dinner with extended family: Someone who has very little knowledge in a subject claims to know a lot. That person might even boast about being an expert. This phenomenon has a name: the Dunning-Kruger effect. It’s not a disease, syndrome or mental illness; it is present in everybody to some extent, and it’s been around as long as human cognition, though only recently has it been st...

Why People Support the Likes of Umar Johnson and Julius Malema

9/22/2018 From: http://www.abetterworld.me/blog/why-people-support-the-likes-of-umar-johnson-and-julius-malema I'll be as clear as my limited command of this colonial language English permits me to be.  So-called Black Nationalist, so-called Pan-Africanist, so-called "leaders" of African people Umar Johnson in the U.S. and Julius Malema in Azania (South Africa), are nothing except opportunists who use our people's suffering to advance their individual interests.  Of course, and unfortunately, we could add countless other names to that list, but we choose to focus on these two for this piece because they exist in Africa and North America which demonstrates that con-men are easily able to confuse and fool our people everywhere we exist on Earth.  Secondly, and amazingly, each of these men have been able to develop and cultivate a large number of African supporters and admirers. Johnson has built up himself on Youtube with a series of videos filled with semi-trut...

Affinity is only skin deep -- INSIDIOUS FRAUD OF FAMILIARITY

From:   http://www.acfe.com/AffintySkinDeep/ March/April 2013 Frank S. Perri, J.D., CFE, CPA; Richard G. Brody, Ph.D., CFE, CPA Fraudsters know no boundaries, even when it comes to their supposed friends and family. Affinity fraud is a particularly insidious crime in which fraudsters use their similar characteristics to others to gain trust — ultimately exploiting that trust for their own financial gain. Cambodian fraud victims said that fellow immigrant Seng Tan arrived at their homes in a black Mercedes S500 to outline investment opportunities. With her Canadian-Cambodian citizen husband, James Bunchan, Tan impressed many of her uneducated fellow Cambodians with appearances of wealth and the way she dressed. Like them, Tan had fled the horrors of the Pol Pot regime. She knelt in their temple to pray, and they cried and laughed together over their shared experiences. The immigrant families, who didn’t have enough cash to invest, collected money from relatives, cashe...

Marva Collins Was A True Educator

From:  https://world.wng.org/2015/07/marva_collins_did_it_her_way Marva Collins did it her way Janie B. Cheaney Posted on Monday, July 6, 2015, at 9:33 am In the 1980s, Marva Collins was a shining light in the education firmament. Her pioneering methods became a full-length movie. Her Chicago inner-city school, Westside Preparatory, was a model for teachers who wanted to buck the status quo. Her books were best-sellers, especially  Marva Collins’ Way , which told the inspiring story of an iron-willed woman with a tender heart for young minds. Born in 1936 in the segregated South, Collins later graduated from Clark College in Atlanta. After teaching school in Alabama, she moved to Chicago, where she worked as a medical secretary before applying to be a substitute teacher in the city’s school system. Substituting gave her a unique perspective on the state of urban schools, as she experienced firsthand the bureaucratic hurdles, meaningless paperwork, time-crunching admi...

Is Narcissism Hereditary?

From:   https://www.quora.com/Is-narcissism-hereditary-1 By   Rudy Schmitz , Studying Psychology at Univ. of British Colombia Most researchers and mental health professionals believe it results from a combination of factors. These factors include biological vulnerability, social interactions with early caregivers, and psychological factors that involve temperament. There are studies that suggest that a gene (or genes) for narcissism can be inherited but that a person also needs the “right” environment for narcissism to be manifested. There are scant studies that look specifically at whether narcissism is genetic, although many theories as to the cause including trauma or abuse in early childhood, overindulgent parenting, genetic predilection toward NPD and narcissistic parenting. Researchers can study the genetics of personality through two different means: identical twin studies and examination of the human genome. Twin studies typically examine identical twi...

Affinity Fraud

From:   https://www.sec.gov/investor/pubs/affinity.htm Affinity Fraud: How to Avoid Investment Scams That Target Group Oct. 9, 2013 (also available in  Spanish and Creole ) What is an Affinity Fraud? Affinity fraud refers to investment scams that prey upon members of identifiable groups, such as religious or ethnic communities, the elderly, or professional groups. The fraudsters who promote affinity scams frequently are - or pretend to be - members of the group. They often enlist respected community or religious leaders from within the group to spread the word about the scheme by convincing those people that a fraudulent investment is legitimate and worthwhile. Many times, those leaders become unwitting victims of the fraudster's ruse. These scams exploit the trust and friendship that exist in groups of people who have something in common. Because of the tight-knit structure of many groups, it can be difficult for regulators or law enforcement officials to detect...

No One Joins A Cult...

Image
No one joins a cult-at least not intentionally.  People join social groups and clubs.  People join churches, temples and mosques.  People join associations.  People don't join cults.  No one deliberately says, "I'm going to join XYZ cult today." So, how do people end up in a cult and, literally and figuratively, end up drinking the Kool-Aid ? Well, perhaps the information below can help you. From: https://ultraculture.org/blog/2014/03/26/how-to-start-a-cult/ How to Start a Cult, Tactic 1: Milieu Control This involves the control of information and communication both within the environment and, ultimately, within the individual, resulting in a significant degree of isolation from society at large. How to Start a Cult, Tactic 2: Mystical Manipulation There is manipulation of experiences that appear spontaneous but in fact were planned and orchestrated by the group or its leaders in order to demonstrate divine authority or spiritual advancement or so...

Beware of the Fraud

Be aware of this fraud. #UmarLiar. (Part 2) In between the work of uplifting Douglassonian Studies and attempting to connect and build community I’ve prioritized addressing the identity theft of Umar Johnson, the pilfering peasant of Pan-Africanism. Johnson must immediately cease and desist speaking the name of Douglass and Bailey out of his mouth. His lies have been aided by unknowing European Americans of the Eastern Shore who have assisted his treachery by sharing intimate local history, which is intimate Bailey family history. My come up was along side old school librarians, back of the 70 bus griots of the Riots, Southside street corner historians and veteran editors of the  Evening St...

So Now We're White Supremacists That Turn Black People Against Black Leaders

Image
From:   https://www.vanndigital.com/so-now-were-white-supremacists-that-turn-black-people-against-black-leaders/ by  VannDigital  | March 11, 2018 At this point in my life on Planet Earth, I'd like to believe that I've seen it all, done it all, & heard it all. But thank God that isn't the case because no matter how many times I've mentioned all (or one) of those statements, there's always something that comes across my way that gives me that "wow" moment. With all that said, we found out earlier today that we're a white supremacist organization that has the tendency to turn all Black people against so-called Black leaders. We're going to be the second coming of Adolf Hitler & the Nazi Regime before it's all over with, at the rate we're going. It all started when anti-Umar Johnson Facebook page,  Umar Johnson is a FRAUD , gave light to  an article that we wrote about 2 weeks back  in the form of a  Facebook post . The fee...

Umar--You Are Greedy...

Image
From: https://www.vanndigital.com/black-canadian-organization-calls-umar-johnson-fraud/ Sunday (2.25.2018) was supposed to be the day that professional lecturer "Dr. Umar Johnson" was set to  speak at an event that was put together by Toronto, Canada-based organization The Global Afrikan Communities Network . Unfortunately, this event would never become a reality because of the many shenanigans that would take place before & on the day on the event. It all started when Johnson signed a contract  (link added by me) with the organization back in October 2017. In this transaction, he asked Kofi Yeboah (of GACN) for $5,000 upfront. Johnson would later be advanced half of his $5,000 speaker's fee, under the impression that he would be present to perform on the night of the event, but would soon demand more money (in American dollars, at this point) once he realized that he received $2,500 in Canadian dollars. The events that went down from that point on would get mes...
