Believe It Or Not

So no one else finds it interesting that Umar Johnson claims that GFM took upwards of $200,000, or more, of the donation money.

AND after his Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Detroit speaking engagements, where I'm sure he's collected donations, perhaps in-hand donations, from the folks who came to hear him speak in those cities, he's off to Asia for 10 days or so.

Let's visit the GoFundMe thing one more time.

At time the platform fee for personal accounts (which is what Umar Johnson has) was 5% plus a 2.9% payment processing fee or a total fee of 7.9%  So, if we calculate 403221 x .079 = 23246.55 or $23,246.55

Now, let's add up all the fees.

$23,246.55 + $3,085.50 = $26,332.05

Let's subtract the total fees from the total amount donated:

$403,221 - $26,332.05 = $376,888.95

TrueBlackAnonymous checked the terms on December 25, 2017 for GoFundMe and guess what? the platform fee for a personal account is now 0%. Yes, zilch, zero, nada, nothing! This means that there should only be 2.9% fee.

Back to our math.

$403,221 x .029 = 11693.409, or $11,693.41 in fees, which is LESS money that GoFundMe takes and if that is the case we then have, once we add the .30 cents per donation:

$403,221 - ($11,693.41+$3,085.50) = $388,442.09

Total GoFundMe fees are anywhere from $14,778.50 to $26,332.05, and not the $250,000 to $275,000 that Umar Johnson claims that GoFundMe took.

So let's say we believe Umar Johnson.and GoFundMe took $250,000 of the donation money, then there is between $223,667.95 and $235,221.50 that is unaccounted for.

If you believe that GoFundMe too $275,000 of the donation money, then there is between $248,667.95 and $260,221.50 that is unaccounted for.

Note that Umar Johnson has refused to give GoFundMe the requested information to prove that the campaign for the school was legitimate.

And since people haven't seen any documentation of any of the donation money, there's no way to tell if any of it is true.

Please, note the date
It's intriguing, however, to note that Umar Johnson is traveling to Asia.  Now, that's fascinating since one would think, after having tax liens of $100,000, or maybe more, that Umar Johnson's passport may have been suspended or revoked.  However, if Umar is able to travel to Asia, then his passport may not be suspended or revoked, or may have been reinstated.

Further, there may be, somewhere in all of this, a hint or a clue as to where at least some of between $223,667.95 and $260,221.50 went -- because, quite frankly, I don't believe that GoFundMe took all of that money.  It would be against their terms.  They aren't stupid.  Acting against their own terms would open GoFundMe for a lawsuit.

Does TrueBlackAnonymous know this for a fact?

No.

But, this scenario is compelling, to say the least.
