Don't Drink the Kool-Aid!

He was very charismatic and attracted people who were feeling vulnerable or disenfranchised for whatever reason.

Umar Johnson lied about the police coming to Cleveland to shut down the event that was taking place at the Museum of African American History.

Umar Johnson lied about the police coming to specifically stop him from speaking.

Umar Johnson made a video on Facebook live (since taken down) to give the impression that the police in Cleveland, OH, were out to get him, out to shut him down, and out to keep him from speaking.  Please.  The police in Cleveland, OH were not after Umar Johnson.

The police in Cleveland, OH weren't thinking about Umar.  The police in Cleveland, OH were there as a deterrent to illegal parking.

That mess about the police shutting him down.  Yeah.  Umar Johnson made it up.

Just stop and let that sink in.  Really...let it sink in.
We didn't know this at the time, but he'd [Jim Jones] set up people who would shoot into the jungle to make us [Temple members who were in Guyana] feel as if we were under attack. And there were other people who were set up to run and get shot -- with rubber bullets, though we didn't know it at the time. So there you were, in the middle of the jungle. Shots were being fired, and people were surrounding you with guns.

Okay, are you ready?

One again, our good sister, Anti Afro Svengalis, was right.  Umar panicked.  But why would Umar panic?

Well, I can think of some reasons.
  1. Umar could be driving without a license due to his issues with child support.
  2. Umar could be afraid that the IRS has caught up to him.
  3. Umar could be afraid that someone he's done wrong, owes money to, lied to , etc., has finally cornered him
  4. Umar could be afraid because someone in the community finally got sick and tired of his scam of opening a school and call the police on him

So, folks, basically what I'm saying is that when Umar has done so much dirt; when Umar has lied so much; when Umar has ducked and dodged responsibility so much; when Umar has misrepresented himself and his intentions so much; when Umar has used and mistreated people so much and so terribly; when Umar's dirt and lies are so great, so vast and so all over the place ALL OVER THE WORLD...well, it's not wonder that Umar might be irrational.

Given all of that, it's not hard to imagine that Umar Johnson would be so paranoid at the mere sight of a police car, especially when he's done so much garbage that it must be hard to keep it straight in his head.

After all, sooner or later, chickens do come home to roost.

And it 's not hard to imagine that Umar Johnson, with his narcissism, would try to make people think that some crazy, outlandish scenario was happening in Cleveland that makes him look like he's a victim of white supremacy and its machinations along with the Negro bourgeoisie.

Umar's behavior is just like Jim Jones convincing the people in Jonestown that they were under attack by having people shooting guns in the jungles of Guyana.

JUST THINK ABOUT THAT!

  • Is this really a man you want to have access to your children?
  • Is this a man you want your child to go on tours and bus trips with?
  • Is this really a man you want to counsel you about your children, your relationships, and your marriage?
  • Is this really a man who should be telling people who to date, marry, sleep with, and have children with?
To quote Denzel Washington, as Malcolm X:
Oh I say and I say it again!  You been had!  You been took! You been hoodwinked!  Bamboozled!  Led astray!  Run amok!
Please, my good people, I beseech you.  I beg you.  If you want to preserve your money, your well-being, the well-being of those you love and care about, and your sanity, don't drink Umar's Kool-Aid!
