Umar Just Can't Stop...
Umar Johnson is NOT original. No idea that he has passed on is original. Umar Johnson has simply co-opted ideas from Marcus Garvey, Amos Wilson, Jawanza Kunjufu and so many others.
He's even co-opted art work for the T-shirts he sells.
Now, it's been said he's had a rendering of Colin Kaepernick on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages by an artist named Shawnna L. Williams. Allegedly, Ms. Williams learned that Umar Johnson posted her portrait of Colin Kapernick and has asked him to remove it from his page, since he was supposedly using it without giving credit or getting permission.
Umar Johnson ignored her requests, reported her (presumably to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and blocked her and her supporters. Sound familiar?
Shawnna L. Williams, or any other artist, has every right to tell Umar Johnson, or anyone else who uses her work without acknowledgement or without giving credit, to stop it.

Now, back to Umar Johnson. Think about it. This behavior from Umar Johnson is familiar. So we shouldn't be surprised.
At least, TrueBlackAnonymous isn't surprised. Clearly, Umar can't muster an original thought. Not only can’t Umar Johnson muster an original thought, he doesn’t know how to cite and give credit where it is due. This further proves that Umar Johnson is no Ph.D. or PsyD. If he were, he would know what plagiarism is. A Ph.D. or a PsyD. might have a working familiarity with copyright infringement, too. Because plagiarism and copyright infringement come from the same basic idea that it is not right, legal, or fair to take someone else's work and not give appropriate credit, whether it's the written word, a photograph, lyrics to a song, or a piece of artwork.
Besides, don't we learn how to cite sources in a basic writing class in high school?
Meanwhile, Umar Johnson claims that people are pretending to be him, making channels on YouTube. Please tell me that you've noticed that his videos have been reloaded under different names. Why is that suddenly happening just when the State of Pennsylvania started digging in that ass and threatening to take his school psychologist certification?
Coincidence? I don't think so.

My point is that Umar Johnson is no scholar. Umar Johnson and his whole act is pure chicanery and tomfoolery.

I hope that Shawnna is able to get Umar to stop taking her work. I wish I knew the name of a good intellectual property lawyer who would do pro bono just to get him to stop. Thankfully 2018 will be the year he gets what is coming to him.
