Proving a Relationship
In a conversation that the brain trust of TrueBlackAnonymous had with Kenneth Morris, the CEO of the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, we were told that one of the things the organization does is to spend time vetting people who claim to be related to Frederick Douglass. Believe it or not, Umar Johnson isn't the only person who claims a relationship to Frederick Douglass.
It happens.
Most of these people mean no harm. They just want to verify what their mothers, aunts and grandmothers may have told them. The Bailey family, through the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, however, demands to have records, such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, slave records, and perhaps even DNA.
If they happen to find out that there's no relationship to the Bailey/Douglass family, then that is what it is. But, I suppose it never hurts to ask or investigate.
No harm, no foul, right?
Well, one would think.
But not in the case of Umar Johnson. Umar Johnson, continues to insist that there is a family relationship between himself and the Bailey/Douglass family. Yet, like many things concerning Umar Johnson, there is no documentation, no evidence, no science, no records or nothing that would be commonly accepted as actual proof.
To quote a video by the man I call Philly O.G., "Fuck what you tell me!"
But I suppose it really doesn't matter at this point if Umar Johnson can prove an actual relationship to this family. After all, calling his so-called family members haters, "damned Mexicans," Army agents, coons (including his own father), and so on probably would make "family" relationships, uh....uncomfortable.
Damn.
Yet, Umar Johnson thinks he is the one to tell you about what to do with your children.
To date, Umar Johnson has not provided any verifiable records or evidence of any kind that he is related, biological or by marriage, to the Bailey-Douglass family. According to the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, the official family tree is located in the archives at the Douglass National Historic Site in Washington, DC. and Umar Johnson is not on it.

I believe he is mentally-ill. I don't know anyone that lies this much...even the biggest liars I know take a break from it every now and then.
