Haters Still Hating...

Well, I suppose those haters just keep on hating, right?  And Umar has named someone name Mukasa Africa or Afrika (depending on your preference of spelling, I suppose) as one of his haters, along with someone named Arthur Ralston, who I have never heard of but is, according to Umar, a big ol' hamburger or cheeseburger eater, along with Umar's alleged cousin, Tarence Bailey, an alleged Army agent.

Okay.

Below is a picture of Umar Johnson, supposedly at his graduation ceremony in which he received his doctorate degree.  If this is a picture of Umar at a graduation ceremony in which he received a doctorate degree, then he’s wearing the right gown.  The hood or stole he’s wearing doesn't symbolize a degree in Social Sciences, which would include Psychology.  The stole for someone getting a doctorate in Psychology is gold.  The cap Umar is wearing is for someone who is getting a bachelor degree or a master's degree, not a doctorate degree.

Now you know I am a decent researcher, so I found a picture of this gentleman, Mukasa Afrika Ma'at (he did write some essays regarding Umar Johnson), who I'm guessing is one of the haters that Umar was speaking of during a recent radio interview.  Well, it seems that Mukasa Afrika Ma'at recently obtained a doctorate degree.

Below is a picture of Mukasa Afrika Ma'at.

Now, let's see if we can see any similarities or differences.

Umar
    • Has on a graduation gown with three stripes on each sleeve.
    • Has on a graduation cap that seems more appropriate for a bachelor's degree or master's degree
    • Has no evidence of a diploma, even though at times, colleges and universities will let students 'walk' if they haven't quite completed the requirements of their program
    Mukasa
    • Has on a graduation gown with three stripes on each sleeve
    • Has a tam on rather than a cap, indicative of one who receives a doctorate
    • Has a light blue stole, which indicates that his degree is in education
    • Has his diploma in hand in which the signatures of the college president and the dean of his program have signed the diploma, along with the seal of the college, is visible
    • Is standing on the school's logo in a building on the campus
Okay.  Please, now look at the following for your consideration.

Umar calls himself, among other monikers, the Prince of Pan-Africanism.  He's been calling himself this for more than a strong minute.  However, I cannot think of any of our leaders or scholars who dared to liken himself or herself to a 'royal' moniker.  Not even...

    Stokely Carmichael (Kwame Toure)
    Joanna Chesimard (Assata Shakur)
    John Henrik Clarke
    Yosef Ben-Jochannon
    Frances Cress Welsing
    Amos Wilson
    Marimba Ani

...although we believe each of them to be kings and queens in their own right in his or her own way.

Now, let's consider this brother, Mukasa Afrika Ma'at.

We see that he has earned his doctorate.  I'm not saying that one HAS to have a doctorate to be considered a leader.  I'm saying this to point out that Brother Mukasa isn't lying about his credentials, and even has a link to his dissertation available for anyone to examine and read it.  On the other hand, Umar was seen on a video waving a dissertation on camera, making sure to point out the July, 2012 date.  I wonder if anyone, outside of the ones who signed off on the dissertation, can find the dissertation and read it for himself or herself.

Further, there is even a video of the brother Mukasa successfully defending his dissertation and a video of the brother actually receiving his diploma.

Let's go on to consider another writing by Brother Mukasa, linked below.

BRAZIL REAJA: Modern Genocide, Culture, Favelas, and a Movement / BRASIL REAJA: Genocídio Moderno, Cultura, Favelas, e um Movimento

The writing linked above shows that Brother Mukasa is truly a Pan-Africanist, as he has worked with our brothers and sisters in Brazil, which is one reason the writing is transliterated in Portuguese so that the brothers and sisters in Brazil can be reached in the commonly spoken language in Brazil.  Brother Mukasa also has a GoFundMe account and accepts donations to create scholarships to assists students in African-centered schools.  Most recently, $500 of those funds were used to help fund the Winnie Mandela School in Bahia, Brazil, for African-centered education for African children in Brazil.

Other writing by Brother Mukasa Afrika Ma'at can be found on Amazon.com, and include:

    • Pan-Africanism and the Back to Africa Movement: A Major Essay
    • AFRIKAN-CENTERED EDUCATION: A Framework for Educators, Parents, and Students
    • THE SECOND CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT: Articles on a Modern Day Segregation School System
    • PAN-AFRIKANISM: VS TERRORISM, ISLAMIZATION, AND NEO-COLONIALISM

Lastly, Brother Mukasa has been a teacher and school administrator for many years.

Brother Mukasa Afrika Ma'at does all of this, while earning his doctorate degree, and doesn't dub himself the "Prince of Pan-Africanism," or "King Kong Consciousness."

So, given all of that, I wonder, who the real Pan-Africanist is, and who the real hater is...
