King Kong?
You know, I am wondering why Umar Johnson has taken to referring to himself as King Kong.
After all, if you know the King Kong story, you should know that many take the basic King Kong story as an allegory for white men's fear of the Black man who white men believed were so enamored and fascinated with a white woman, that like King Kong, he risks death to try to be with her...whether she wants him or not.
Would you send your children to a person who characterizes himself as King Kong? |
Okay...
So why is Umar Johnson claiming to be the "King Kong of Konsciousness"? What does that even mean?
Heck if I know...
Interesting...
Umar has another video talking about hip hop artists who, according to Umar, only exploit and objectify women's sexuality. Then he says that they only have light-skinned, Asian, Latina and white women in their videos and says that they need to have dark-skinned women in the videos, too.
Hmm....yeah, because dark-skinned women should also be exploited and objectified for their sexuality in videos?
Huh?
And, let's ask the question: Does anyone really believe that Umar Johnson cares about how women are treated in rap/hip-hop videos, or even in regular life, when he created two single mothers, told a radio host to hang up on a sister who respectfully asked him a legitimate question, named-called women, including a woman HE chose to engage with sexually, memed Khym Ringgold and Chantall Beaty, shouted out a convicted child molester, came up with a 'diagnosis' of T.H.O.T.-ish Personality Disorder, and his ringtone is "These Hoes Ain't Loyal"?
Unbelievable!
Moving on...
Umar has, in the past, been extremely critical of Christianity and the Black church. Remember, he threatened to "King Kong Conscious" elders at a church in Brooklyn before the event was cancelled. And yet, he has speaking engagements at...guess where...churches.
See?
Umar Johnson, WHO ARE YOU? What do you REALLY stand for, other than yourself?
But, then again, maybe Umar is the hoe who ain't loyal...
