It Doesn't Add Up

Something just isn't adding up here.

What do I mean?

Well, let's see...

Umar Johnson told Mr. Rock Newman, on the Rock Newman show, that he graduated from Millersville University in 1997, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.

Start at 9 minutes and 52 minutes and stop at 10 minutes and 10 seconds

If this is true, then...

First Example

How could Umar be a therapist for 20 years, as he said in the Solving Deadbeat Daddy and Mama Drama Problems - Dr. Umar Johnson video, that means he would have had to have started his career as a therapist in 1993.  How can this be when Umar supposedly did not earn his bachelor's degree until 1997, when he graduated from Millersville University?

Second Example

How could Umar be a therapist for 20 years as of February 20, 2015, the date of the video in which he was confronted by a lesbian?  If Umar had been a therapist for 20 years, he would have to have been practicing since 1995. If he graduated from Millersville University in 1997, with a Bachelor's degree, double-majoring in Psychology and Political Science, as he stated on the Rock Newman Show, in a video dated February 2, 2015, how could it also be true that he was a therapist?

Listen to the video on the right starting at 5 minutes and 30 seconds and stop at 5 minutes and 52 seconds.

Third Example

In the interview with Ms. Cynthia Johnson, in the Inquiring Minds Want to Know, Umar says, at about the 18 minute and 20 second mark that he's been doing his work for over 20 years.  The interview is dated December 22, 2015.  That means that he started doing his work as a therapist in 1995.

How could he have been a psychologist or a therapist while also being an undergraduate student at Millersville University, from which he didn't graduate with a Bachelor's degree, until 1997, according to what he told Mr. Rock Newman out of his own mouth?

How could Umar be all the things he claims?
The timeline doesn't add up.

Fourth Example

How can Umar claim to be a therapist for almost 20 years in the video titled Dr. Umar Johnson (6.3.17) When Love Hurts:  Rape, Abuse & Domestic Violence in the Black Community, when he has also said that he graduated with a Bachelor's degree, with a double-major in Psychology and Political Science, from Millersville University in 1997?

Conclusion

Something isn't adding up, Friends.  Na mean?

  1. FWIW, it's illegal to practice any kind of psychological therapy w/o a license. Have to have the Psy.D. or Ed.D., or LCSW. He claims he has degree in Clinical Psychology from PCOM. Check his credentials with the state. His "dissertation" is dated 2012. Fraud.

  2. The state of Georgia has a CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's that will get you certified to be a licensed counselor.

  3. He's telling the truth about graduating from Millersville in 1997 because a good friend of mine went to school with him back then. Also, I went to middle school with him in the late 80's. His credentials are legit. I wish you all would stop bashing this man. His heart is in the right place and he means well.

    1. Did your friend happen to mention if he was practicing as a therapist during his undergraduate studies?

    2. What he meant that it was close to 20 years. He started his school psychology program in 1997, the same year he graduated with TWO Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees from good old Millersville.

    3. Umar Johnson has said on many occasions that he's been practicing therapy for 20 years or over 20 years. I heard him say this in a video that was uploaded in 2012. If one does arithmetic and subtracts the number 20 from 2012, that would give us 1992. So, was Umar Johnson practicing therapy has a high school senior or as a college freshman? Please advise. Thanks.
