For the love of money - No Respect

About 9 months ago, according to a comment posted on Dr. Umar's FDMG St Paul's Fund, a Mr. Lonell Johnson donated $100 to the FDMG fundraiser and has since expressed qualms about his donation. He says:
I donated $100 when the school was first announced and now I am regretting it. Bro. Umar you have been vocal about what the black church does with black folks money and suggested they be more transparent with what is going on with the parishioners donations. Well why is it when you are questioned about the progress of the school you go into shut down mode? If you are so sensitive that you cannot handle being questioned about what is going on with the project then all it suggests is there is something completely bogus going on behind the scenes. Give us an update on your meetings with the holder of the deed to the school. Let us know you have set up a 501(c)(3) to make your organization tax exempt. Let's see a business plan. You just asking black folks to give you money is no different than the jack leg preacher. I mean what you say sounds good, but right now all you seem to be is a paid entertainer. Let's see something of substance instead of the minute you are questioned about what is going on with the school and the money donated, you shut people out. I suspect you will in some way shape or form go on a tangent like you did with Dr Boyce Watkins or block me like you did on Instagram. But despite your knowledge you are starting to come off very immature and insecure. Steel sharpens steel. I say what I say out of love for my people and those who profess to be leaders in the struggle.
Umar, as a guest on a radio program, requested that the host go to a break when a woman caller asked if there was going to be a proper accounting of the money, calling her a 'reactionary'.

At one point, Umar had a lecture, for which charged admission, to prove to the "bottom feeders" - I suppose "bottom feeders" would be those who question Umar's credentials - that he had the degrees he claims to have by showing a commencement program (which, by the way, doesn't prove he has the degree(s) he claims to have).

A Professor Chantall Beaty contacted him through his social media and asked him not to charge people to see a commencement program.  A commencement program is not proof of having a degree. Umar's response was to block Professor Beaty from his social media, even after she offered the services of her firm to assist him in getting the affairs in order to help him with financing the purchase of the now defunct St. Paul's College, of Lawrenceville, VA, to become the FDMG Academy.

Now ask yourself this:  Should someone who has placed himself in a leadership position and who is collecting money from people for a specific cause get angry and defensive at answering basic questions?

I don't think so.
