For the love of money - No Responsibility

Now, did you know that in 2014, Umar was offered a $5 million loan at 4.5% interest rate and a 20-year term in order to purchase St. Paul's College?  A sister from Holland was able to get a group of investors to offer him a $5 million loan, after he met her on a speaking engagement in Holland and in Suriname.  Did you know that Umar turned it down?

Hmmm....

Could it be that Umar would have to pay back the money?  Or could it be that Umar could not prove that he is who he says he is?  Or could it be that if Umar actually got the school, he couldn't continue to milk it?  Or a combination of all of the above?

Whatever the reason is, Umar walked away from $5 million dollars.

Listen from about 35:00 minutes to about 56:00 minutes

Shortly after he walked away from $5 million, Umar claims that because his involvement with Khym Ringgold, the so-called 'Conscious Stripper' was made public, an unnamed NBA player who was going to donate $1 million dollars decided not to donate.  This is a claim that cannot be proven. However, I wonder what invisible NBA player got so concerned about Umar's personal relationship with a woman who happens to be a stripper, he could not donate to the FDMG Academy.

And since when do NBA players turn their noses down on other men who might be messing around with a stripper?  Think about it.  Even if said unnamed NBA player doesn't mess around with strippers, I guarantee at least one of his teammates does.  It is more likely that, if said invisible NBA player was thinking of donating, the lack of the right tax-exempt status would deter him since he wouldn't be able to write the donation off on his tax return.
