Good Citizen

Perhaps, some of you remember being in school and your teachers and/or your school principal gave students ribbons or certificates for things like being a "Good Citizen."

Well, there are times in which I think we should give "Good Citizen" awards to people now.

Case in point. one of our Good Citizens alerted a school in these United States about a post on Facebook, under a Facebook Live by one who calls himself Dr. Umar Ifatunde.  In this post, a young man named someone, first and last name, called this person a white supremacist, and claimed this person was harassing a black female student.

Now, keep in mind that this is the same Facebook Live in which Umar Ifatunde Johnson bemoaned the prospect of losing his certification as a school psychologist.  Not only did Umar say he wanted to, and I quote, "slap the shit" out of Roland Martin, the school psychologist left a post underneath the video in which a student at a specific school was named, a phone number to the school was given, and a specific student was named as a "white supremacist" who was picking on a Black female student.

Now let me tell you what Umar Johnson, what Ifatunde, what the school psychologist who is lamenting the possibility of losing his certification did.

Yes, you guess it.  He left the post up.  Not only did he leave it up on his Facebook account, he put it up on his Instagram account, too.

Keep in mind a few things:

  1. He doesn't know if any of these things are true.
  2. He didn't inform the school in question.
  3. He didn't take the post down, even though the post involves minor children in a potentially volatile situation.
  4. He shared it on another social media account.

Good job, School Psychologist.  *SARCASM*

Now our Good Citizen, not only took it upon themselves to contact the school, inform the school security and call the local police.  Good citizens don't want to put any child in danger.  And even if the young person named is an alleged "white supremacist," that child needs help as well.  Alerting the school to the possible situation was the best thing to do.

It's a good thing that we have "Good Citizens" around to help whenever he or she can.

Kudos to you, Good Citizen and shame on you, Umar Johnson.

NOTE:  I am not going to insert the picture of the post because it involves minors.

But I am going to pose the question to all of you.  Do you think Umar Johnson has the judgement to RUN A SCHOOL?
