Who Knew?

Well, now that I have had a moment to think about it, I can see the sinister and deceptive behavior of Umar Johnson even more clearly than I have up until this point.

Once I learned that Umar Johnson had a 501(c)(4), I wondered immediately why he didn't announce it.  Now I know.

Umar knows that there a lot of smart people out there, who will ask questions if he announced that he had a 501(c)(4).

But what exactly is a 501(c)(4) and why is it different from a 501(c)(3)?

A 501(c)(4) organization is "tax-exempt as a social welfare organization described in Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4), an organization must not be organized for profit and must be operated exclusively to promote social welfare."

Umar filed this status with the state of Pennsylvania on June, 9, 2014.

I don't know what 'social welfare' cause that Umar and his organization he was claiming to promote that has to do with civic betterment or social improvement(s), such as an organization that improves landlord-tenant relations throughout a state, county or city, which may call for civic or political action.

On the other hand, a 501(c)(3), doesn't participate in civic or political action.  Organizations described in 501(c)(3) are commonly referred to as charitable organizations.

A Form990 is necessary for all 501 organizations.

And that is where all the smart, intelligent, inquisitive people would start to ask questions about what, exactly, Umar has done with the donation money.

And we all know that Umar doesn't like questions.

But I would ask Umar why he even filed for a 501(c)(4) if he is so against non-profit organizations?
