This quote definitely applies to the phenomenon we know as Umar Johnson.

It's clear that Umar Johnson doesn't intend to build a school and probably never did.  It's clear that the money collected for a school is Umar Johnson's slush fund.  This is why can brag about paying his own way to travel to Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Africa.  He's doing it with your donation money.

This is why he didn't and couldn't file a Form 990 along with a 501(c)(4), which would require him to detail HOW the money was used.  He didn't want you to know how the money was used.

Further, the school he was talking about was never viable.  Umar never explained and showed documentation on how he was going to pay the bills.  He never said and documented how he was going to hire and pay staff.  He never had a written plan on how he was going to feed people at his fictitious boarding school.  He never outlined, in writing, how he was going to even set up and operate a school library.

Now, let's not even talk about how he was going to have gun ranges, teach boys how to operate ships, and fly helicopters.  Could you even imagine what the insurance costs would be for something like this?  Besides, what state was going to allow Umar to have a gun range when he's talked about shooting cops?

And even he Umar could have had that at his make-believe school, donations alone would NEVER cover that costs of everything he was talking about.

So where is his endowment?  Who are his benefactors?  Who is on his team?

Is that silence I hear?

Let's face it.  This man is a charlatan and a scam artist.  And, the sooner we face the fact, the better off we will be.

Now my question is this:  When are we going to cut bait and leave Umar Johnson to fade into obscurity?

How many times are you going to allow him to get away with calling you "lazy", "trifling", "no good", "jealous", "Miss Piggy", "dusty," and "haters" while he's gallivanting all over the world with YOUR money?

Let's just admit that we got this one wrong.  Let's stop making excuses for Umar Johnson and let's just cut it.

It's like being an an abusive relationship.  Just because the abuser may say something every now and again that sounds good and may even feel good, the bottom line is that he or she is an ABUSER who says or does something every now and then to keep the abused partner hanging on.

But what are we hanging on to?  A liar?  A verbal abuser?  Someone who is irresponsible?  Or a snake oil salesman?

Like the abused person has to decide to be the one who has to leave the relationship, we have to decide that Umar Johnson isn't what we thought, believed or wished.

The bottom line is that Umar Johnson is not worth it.

So let's cut our losses, leave him alone, and get beyond Umar Johnson.
