Umar Johnson is NOT a Therapist...He's a Verbal Abuser

Oh my goodness!

What kind of counseling does Umar Johnson offer to our people?

During a Facebook live session, in which Umar encouraged young people to call in to listen to him, it took him less than five minutes to drop this gem.

"Some of the rest of you, you're parents did not do a good job teaching you discipline.  You're lazy, you're spoiled, you're shiftless, you get the whole world handed to you."

Wow.

At about the 11 minute and 20 second mark, Umar discusses what he believes is a billion dollars of unused financial aid and/or scholarship money every year.  Is it a surprise that Umar doesn't cite a source of this information?

Now, guess why Umar believes all that available money goes unused and most will pay for their college education with loans?

Yes, ...it is because, and this is a quote:

"You're too LAZY, you're too LAZY, you're too LAZY (yes, he said it three times), and you're parents, in some cases, are too LAZY, too LAZY, too LAZY (yes, he said it three times again) to do the research to find out about the scholarships and to apply for the scholarships."

But guess what, young people, every city in America has a scholarship section in the library, especially if you live in a city like Philadelphia, New York, and you live in Houston, Baltimore, DC, Detroit, he can promise that there is a scholarship section inside of the main library.

Houston?  Really Umar?  Does Hurricane Harvey ring a bell at all?

According to Umar, all the young people have to do is get motivated, get up off their behinds, put down their cell phones, put down that video game, put down that lipstick, put down that blunt and go down to the pubic library and start digging up the scholarships.

Then Umar goes on to say that EVERY last one of you qualify for over 30 types of scholarships. How would he know this unless he's pre-screened his listeners.  Did he have them fill out forms?  Do the parents know this?

Who taught Umar that the way to counsel young people is by insulting them and their parents?  I wonder if parents even knew that their youngsters were invited to be on a call in which it would take about five minutes for the "counselor" to name-call and insult them AND their children?

Who is allowing their children to go on a trip with Umar Johnson for a 2-week bus trip?  Who is still giving this fool money for a school that will not and cannot exist?

Even if there is something in this video that is useful, who could get past the first 15 minutes of it, especially when he spend the first 10 minutes of that time finding ways to insult young people and their parents?
