Hamden, CT, Please Cancel Umar Johnson!
Oh Lord, have mercy!
Who on earth in Hamden, CT would have the temerity to deal with Umar Johnson?
After all, it was the aftermath of a previous event that was scheduled to be in Hamden, that didn't take place, that caused Umar Johnson to be booted from EventBrite. Recall that Umar Johnson advertised a speaking engagement, also known as a hyena yelp, in Hamden, CT, supposedly at the request of a parent back in 2017. He did this on video, which, of course, was taken down.
Remember, however, Umar Johnson asked a parent who was calling in for help ended up finding a venue for him to speak.
The parent found the Balcony Banquet Facility.
Umar advertised his speaking engagement at the Balcony Banquet Facility on EventBrite. Of course the tickets were $20 and non-refundable.
Also remember that Umar Johnson had that heinous interview with a gentleman who calls himself Mike Nice. Remember, this is the interview in which Umar Johnson suggests that the more money donated to the phantom, non-existent FDMG school, the more the donor can know about the plan for the school. This, by the way, this is blatantly illegal. Umar Johnson had a non-profit status which was revoked in May, 2017. Non-profit organizations require a Form990 every year which is supposed to outline how donation money was being use. Umar Johnson did not do this and that is why he had the tax lien problem.
Recall that after advertising the event and going on the Mike Nice show, Umar cancelled the event and didn't, as far as I've been able to tell, refund the ticket buyers their money. People subsequently complained to EventBrite and Umar was booted from them. This is why Umar uses EventBee now.
Further, the excuse Umar Johnson gave for the cancellation was that the Balcony Banquet Facility was unsafe. Of course, Umar Johnson offered no evidence to show that how or why the Balcony Banquet Facility is unsafe. And he didn't return the money from ticket sales.
Now, I can guess that the Balcony Banquet Facility did not appreciate the implication that their facility was unsafe, especially with no evidence to suggest such. Further, it is my understanding that the employees of the Balcony Banquet Facility lost money on the event involving Umar Johnson, because the event was cancelled, therefore they lost a chance to work and get paid.
With all that mess that happened, thanks to Umar Johnson and his deceptiveness, who would invite Umar Johnson back to Hamend, CT and why?
And, remember, Umar Johnson did a similar bait and switch with our Canadian brothers and sisters.
Haven't we had enough of Umar Johnson? Why are we such gluttons for punishment?

I'll be in attendance. I think this is a good brotha. We all make mistakes, and he's doing this on his own. I see why we as a Black community don't get anywhere. We're addicted and drunk on negativity. Very unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteUmar Johnson doesn't have to do this on his own. In fact, if he were legitimate, he would have a team. I would also submit that Umar Johnson isn't making 'mistakes.' He's deliberately deceiving people and taking their money.
