STOP Co-Signing Bullshit
Umar Johnson is a plague on our communities. However, Umar Johnson is merely a symptom of a much larger problem in our communities.
We all know it what it is. But in case you don't, the problem is this:
We need to stop holding up, justifying, and co-signing bullshit.
Yes, I said it.
Back to Umar Johnson.
And yet, what are we, as a collective, doing about it?
NOTHING.
In fact, not only are we not doing a damned thing about it, there are people who are attacking the people who are pointing these things out.
People who want their money back from Umar Johnson, because they now realize that there isn't going to be a school, are being attacked.
People who speak about being victimized by Umar Johnson are being attacked.
People who question Umar Johnson about his credentials are being attacked.
This is so fantastically unbelievable to me that we have people in our communities who continue to justify and stand up for a so-called man who has lied to us and has fleeced our communities of an estimated $1 million dollars based on a phony credentials, phony family claims and phony promises of building a school.
Oh my...our people. Why do we insist on victim blaming and shaming while protecting the perpetrator of CRIMES against our people?
Just look at yourselves.
JUST LOOK AT YOURSELVES.
You are riding with a so-called man who lies, tries to set people up to be victims of hate crimes, and who threatens people, including our elders.
This man who came to Black communities all over the world boasting of six degrees suddenly got so damned sensitive when people ask him to verify claims that HE made.
And he has co-signers who claim that degrees don't matter.
REALLY?
Please, be the self-respecting people that we need to be. STOP co-signing bullshit. Demand more of Umar Johnson and demand more of yourselves.

- Umar Johnson stole an estimated $1 million dollars from our communities all over the world under false pretenses and we all know it.
- Umar Johnson lied about his credentials and we all know it.
- Umar Johnson lied about being a relative of the Bailey/Douglass family and we all know it.
- Umar Johnson lied about being a relative of Harriet Tubman and we all know it.
- Umar Johnson lied about creating a school for Black boys and we all know it.
And yet, what are we, as a collective, doing about it?

If degrees don't matter, then why would he have to lie about it?
One person told me that Umar could have simply read a good number of books and based his conclusions on his readings. Or, he could have read a lot of books and considers himself self-taught.
I don't have anything against people who read voraciously or who consider themselves to be self taught. But here's the problem with that position as far as Umar Johnson goes:
1. Umar didn't say that he was self-taught. He said he had six degrees.
2. We need to stop grasping at straws in an attempt to justify bullshit.
And don't even get me started on the Frederick Douglass claims. We have two separate statements from the Bailey family on Umar Johnson disavowing him.
In fact, I have it on good authority that Umar's own FATHER confirmed that he never told Umar Johnson that he was related to Frederick Douglass.
Yes, indeed. Umar told another lie. Are we surprised?
Yet, there were people who attacked the family of the esteemed ancestor, Frederick Douglass.
And there are co-signers and bullshit-justifiers STILL caping for this fool, Umar Johnson?
Why?
Why are victims of Umar Johnson's schemes and lies being questioned with more severity and more malice than Umar Johnson, who has perpetrated the schemes and lies?
Did I mention that we need to STOP CO-SIGNING BULLSHIT?
