Elizabeth City State University--UPDATED
Preface
When TrueBlackAnonymous created this post, I didn't know exactly who at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) to contact. So I just put out what I could find. Now, thanks to gathering more information and listening to knowledgeable people like Anti Afro Svengalis, I will now update who can should be contacted. I don't think it will hurt to contact the Board of Trustees, so I will keep the info in the blog, but I will add more names IN THE BEGINNING of the list that we really need to contact as soon as possible if you want to help us, as these are the folks we really need to contact.TrueBlackAnonymous apologizes for the mistake/misunderstanding.
Please bear with me as I modify this post.
Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) is an HBCU that is now a part of the University of North Carolina system. As such, Elizabeth City State University is part of the government of North Carolina. Well, now, Umar Johnson is scheduled to speak there on August 31, 2018.
Don't blame TrueBlackAnonymous for this one. ECSU says it for themselves. See below.
Governance
From: http://www.ecsu.edu/about/governance/index.htmlElizabeth City State University is a constituent institution of The University of North Carolina. As such, we are ever mindful of our role in the state government.
First, we are a state agency and are here to serve the public through the provision of higher education. It is our mission to provide a challenging, student-centered learning environment, preparing students for responsible participation and leadership in an ever-changing world. Through teaching, research, and community outreach, ECSU is a valuable resource for developing the intellectual capital of the state and the nation and for addressing the environmentally sensitive economic needs of northeastern North Carolina.
Given our mission, it is imperative that we stay abreast of the issues facing higher education. For that reason, we ask that our constituencies - whether you are one of our alumni, students, faculty, staff, board members, friends, or supporters - be on board as advocates for Elizabeth City State University. As it relates to state and federal budgetary and legislative issues, we hope that we can call on you for your support when needed. When that time comes, your individual advocacy to the appropriate legislators will certainly help us achieve the right outcome for ECSU and ultimately for our students.
Okay.
As a state institution, we can only imagine that they are getting state and federal funds in the form of grants, student loans, and other government aid.
One wonders if Elizabeth City State University has any knowledge of the following.
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson is coming to their campus on August 31, 2018?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson advocated shooting police?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson called women maggots, pigs, THOTS (ashy ones at that)?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson called women who are victims of incest, sexual assault and sexual molestation as having "THOT-ish Personality Disorder?"
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson has never shown proof of the degrees and other credentials that he claims to have?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson collected and estimated $1 million dollars from Black people for a school that he can never bring to fruition?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson continually refuses to give an account of what he's done with the money?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson has put people in potential danger who don't agree with him by attempting to incite hate crimes?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson has attempted to set his 'followers' against his own father and his own child?
- Does Elizabeth City State University know that Umar Johnson potentially put his daughter's mother and grandmother in danger?
Is this the kind of person that Elizabeth City State University wishes to have influencing their students?
I wonder if Elizabeth City State University are even thinking about their Title IX funding and if Umar Johnson is worth risking it.
