An Appeal to Truth and Common Sense

Well, now!

It looks like the State Board of Psychology of Pennsylvania has had a "come to Jesus" moment.

Why do I say that?

Well, the reason I say that is because the State Board of Psychology of Pennsylvania has put forth an appeal to the original decision that Umar Johnson hasn't committed a crime by claiming to be a psychologist, a therapist, a clinical psychologist, a family therapist, a child therapist, etc.

He has.

In summary, the State Board of Psychology of Pennsylvania has determined the following:

  • Umar Johnson never held a license to practice psychology or therapy.
  • Umar Johnson held himself out to the public as a psychologist and/or a therapist.
  • Umar Johnson represented himself on the radio show, the Breakfast Club, on July 18, 2016, as providing psychological services in the form of therapy.
  • Umar Johnson described initial patient intakes as a "clinical interview," family depression history, personal depression history, and suicidality assessment during the Breakfast Club interview on July 18, 2016.
  • Umar Johnson said in the interview on July 18, 2016 on the Breakfast Club claimed to provide therapy to help people with everyday problems.
  • Umar Johnson, around December of 2015, on an interview in Detroit, MI with Ms. Cynthia Johnson, on Stand Up Now radio program on Gospel 1440 AM held himself out as having a private practice in Philadelphia, PA, "where I evaluate children for special education disability determination.  I work with charter schools, public schools, superintendents, principals, and special ed attorney advocate groups."
  • Umar Johnson, on or around June 30, 2017, described himself as a "psychologist" rather than as a "school psychologist."
  • Umar Johnson published links to the Breakfast Club interviews on his website, drumarjohnson.com (which is now password-protected) greatly increased his exposure of his private psychology practice to consumers of psychological services in Pennsylvania

The State of Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology also stated that Umar Johnson promised them proof of his employment at the Math, Civics and Sciences (MCS) Charter School.  Umar Johnson was given 30 days to produce the contract.  Umar Johnson has never produced an employment contract with MCS Charter School nor has he produced any employment contract with any school in Pennsylvania.

Not being employed by a school negates the basis on which Umar Johnson claims he could legally be in private practice.  He can't because he did not, and does not, have proof of employment as a school psychologist at any school in the state of Pennsylvania.

It was also determined that Umar Johnson uses titles to cloak his personal views with a mantle of legitimacy by actually being "an unlicensed individual giving unsuspecting people the impression that he is a qualified, competent, and licensed" member of the profession whose reputation and benefit to consumers that the Psychology Act was intended to protect.

Lastly, the State Board of Psychology of Pennsylvania determined that Umar Johnson is not a credible witness.  In other words, they've determined that Umar Johnson is a liar.  Some of their evidence of Umar Johnson's lying is illustrated below.

Liar, liar, pants on fire!
The conclusion?

Umar Johnson has to pay $10,000 plus costs totaling $2,479.48 to the State of Pennsylvania for a total of $12,479.48.  The State of Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology also recommends an order for Umar Johnson to "cease and desist practicing psychology privately and advertising himself by use of the Regulated Terms.

Regulated Terms include "psychological," "psychologist," and "psychology."

How many of you believe Umar Johnson has $12,479.48 just sitting around not doing anything with it?

Could this be the reason that Umar Johnson suddenly has a password-protected website with all his lies about being a psychologist, therapist, clinical psychologist, related to Frederick Douglass and Alexander Wayman, and what-ever-the-hell else he lies about?

Is Umar Johnson trying to circumvent the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology by hiding his lies?

MORE LIES

After all, Umar Johnson has to keep this mess going.  Umar Johnson has to have new victims to whom he can sell his school scam...because he has nothing else.

Is this the behavior of a professional anything?  I think not.  It's actually pathetic.

PATHETIC

Let Umar Johnson be pitiful, sad, and pathetic by himself.  So, I say:

  • Don't listen to him.
  • Don't get caught up in his bullshit.
  • Don't give him one red cent of your hard-earned money.
  • Don't give him your credit card number.
  • Don't give him your debit card number.
  • Don't give him your children.
