Have any of you ever met or dealt with people whose very nature is fraudulent? It is as if they cannot help it, as though they are hardwired to be fraudulent. They lie, they act out, they steal and they do all manners of shadiness as a matter of course, almost like most of us blink and breathe.
Umar Johnson, as far as we're concerned, is one of those people.
I say this because he thinks nothing of stealing, even from one of our most well-known and well-liked artists, Ms. Erykah Badu.
Has anyone seen this T-shirt that Umar Johnson is or was selling?
As I understand it, this design was created by an artist called Emek Golan. Check out his website. If you go to his website and peruse, you will find the design below, which was created in 2005 as a tour poster for Erykah Badu.
Look familiar?
So what does copyright law have to do with this? Well, unless Umar Johnson got written permission of the artist to recreate his design and sell it for his own profit, or even for charitable purposes, i.e. FDMG, this is a blatant copyright violation.
Yet, he attacked another person, Polight, who may well be a con artist, for his alleged intellectual property theft.
Hypocritical much, Umar?
