I hesitated to write about this directly, but because other Anti Fraud Warriors, most notably King Kong Crazy and Anti Afro Svengalis, through their work, have convinced me to go ahead and write about this.

So here I go.

Umar Johnson's latest so-called book, titled Black Parent Advocate: The Art of War for Dealing with America's Public & Charter Schools has been reviewed by a few people, including the Rev. Gerald Palmer and Anti Afro Svengalis.  

I could hardly look at this piece of trash, for which Umar Johnson is charging people $50 US.  But a cursory look at the book told me that this book is worth about the same as the roll of toilet paper in my bathroom.

The clipart, though!  And a gun with a pencil coming out of it?

Anyways, one thing I did pay careful attention to is the ISBN.  The International Standard Book Number is the numeric commercial book identifier which is intended to be unique.

The ISBN is even unique in identifying the format of the same title.  So even with the same title, there's a different ISBN for a hardcover, a paperback or an eBook.

I'll use a book that I've had in my possession that I've finally gotten around to reading.  The title is Born A Crime: Stories From A South African Childhood by Trevor Noah.  If I go to the database suggested by Anti Afro Svengalis and enter the ISBN, below is what is seen.

There are other ISBNs associated with the title depending on if you have an international copy, an eBook, or a hardcover.

What's the point here?

Umar Johnson so-called book has an ISBN, 978-163625740-2.  Try to search the ISBN using the database linked here.  When you do so, you will get what is pictured below.

No ISBN

Some have said that an ISBN can be "in process."  It can.  It usually is prepared by the Library of Congress.  

From the Library of Congress Cataloging in Publication Program (CIP):

A Cataloging in Publication record (aka CIP data) is a bibliographic record prepared by the Library of Congress for a book that has not yet been published. When the book is published, the publisher includes the CIP data on the copyright page thereby facilitating book processing for libraries and book dealers. 

There is likely no real ISBN for this toilet-paper worthy piece of hogshead cheese Umar Johnson is calling a book.

Why would Umar Johnson do this?  Perhaps he thought all of us Black people were too stupid to investigate the ISBN.
