Enough of the Canned Interviews!

Please, to those who have blog talk radio channels, You tube channels, Sound Cloud channels and other channels that are accessible via the world wide web, PLEASE think about what you are doing by allowing Umar Johnson to do these canned, scripted interviews and stop doing interviews with Umar Johnson, unless you are going to challenge him on his bullshit.

Yes, I said it.

One of the ones who is guilty of what I call a canned interview, but certainly not the only one, is someone who calls himself The Prophet of Thought.

The name is ironic, isn't it?

But anyways, there is a two-plus hour video of this man, who calls himself The Prophet of Thought, of him interviewing Umar Johnson.

Within the first 25 minutes of the interview, The Prophet of Thought said he was NOT going to ask Umar Johnson about the money he's collected.

I don't see why not.  After all, shouldn't we want Umar Johnson to account for the money he's collected?

But no, The Prophet of Thought missed two critical opportunities to ask Umar Johnson important questions.

GoFundMe

Umar Johnson clearly stated that GoFundMe kept $150,000 of the donations collected on behalf of FDMG.  Documentation around GoFundMe's fees is widely available on the web and they have never collected more than 8% of donations.

For Dr. Umar's campaign, which raised just north of $400,000, GoFundMe's fee, at most, would have been between $32,000 and $35,000.  That makes the discrepancy here nearly $120,000.

So, The Prophet of Thought didn't research this?  He didn't think it was appropriate to ask Umar Johnson about this huge discrepancy?

Umar Johnson has been long, suspected of living off the money, and hasn't provided his donors or the public any documentation of what was done with the money.  And, since Umar Johnson has had a (501)(c)(4) nonprofit status with the IRS, that was revoked, it's interesting to notice that The Prophet of Thought didn't see fit to challenge Umar Johnson on this.

Why?

Detroit Schools and the Archdiocese

The idea that the entire Catholic Church in the United States of America is conspiring against Umar Johnson is one of his most absurd assertions.  He claims that the Archdiocese wanted to see his curriculum before selling a building to him.  This seems rather ridiculous.  After all, it is a real estate sale.  The Archdiocese is selling a building.  They aren't critiquing what happens once the building is sold.  What right would they have to do that when they no longer own the building?

What Umar Johnson is asserting this like saying that once a you sell your home, you can dictate to the next owner how they can arrange their furniture.

It's preposterous.

Yet, the person who calls himself The Prophet of Thought didn't ask Umar Johnson if he's filed a discrimination suit against the Catholic Church or a lawsuit against GoFundMe for acting outside of its terms for doing business.

Fighting White Supremacy?

Umar Johnson has claimed that he's been wronged by two separate systems in the global system of white supremacy.  In one case, Umar Johnson alleges GoFundMe outright stole $120,000 from him.  In the other case, Umar Johnson says that he's been discriminated against by the Catholic Church.  Yet, his response to these situations is...NOTHING.

Umar Johnson claims to be a leader in the Black community and/or the conscious community, speaking truth to power, speaking against white supremacy, but when two white-owned and operated entities act against his efforts, he organizes NO PROTEST, calls for NO BOYCOTTS, files NO REPORTS, calls out NO ONE, and files NO LAWSUITS.

And radio interviewers, including the one who calls himself The Prophet of Thought, asks him any questions about this?

Seems to me that The Prophet of Thought needs to think again.

Just saying.
