Most Requested, Part Duh!
I find it absolutely fascinating that Umar Johnson seems to find it necessary to constantly proclaim himself the "Most Requested Scholar."
Firstly, Umar Johnson is not a scholar. Please someone, help me to find a peer-reviewed journal article, i.e. SCHOLARLY that was researched, written, co-written and/or edited by Umar Johnson.
I'll wait.
Secondly, people who are actually paid anywhere from $7,500 to $40,000+ per speaking engagement don't constantly brag about how they are the best, how they are number one, how they are the most requested, etc.
These include:
Les Brown
Willie Jolley
Simon T. Bailey
Earvin "Magic" Johnson
Daymond John
Vernice "Fly Girl" Armour
Lisa Nichols
Christopher Gardner
Brian Holloway
This list is from: https://www.bigspeak.com/african-american-speakers/
After even a cursory review of the profiles of the people named above, not one of them seem to have the need to proclaim himself or herself, the "best" or "number one" or "most requested."
Further, I do see descriptions of who the speaker is, why he or she is interesting, exciting or famous. If their educational background is relevant to what he or she speaks about, it is listed in the description, in addition to relevant life experience.
Compare this with Umar Johnson, who does NOT list his credentials on any of his websites, who does NOT discuss his relevant experience, who does NOT talk about the study he would HAVE to conduct as part of research in order to write a dissertation, who does NOT say where he was allegedly a school principal and does NOT speak about where he supposedly practiced as a school psychologist.
Yet, he consistently talks about being a "Prince," "Number One," "Most Requested" and so on.
People, people, people, when is this nonsense is going to stop?
