There is a young man, named Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, who became a rapper with the stage name Logic. I'm so sorry... Logic is biracial, mixed, half-white or whatever we want to call it when a person has one white parent and one Black parent.  Logic has a Black father, a White mother, and a tough upbringing that NO child should experience. Let's fast forward to today.  This poor fellow had the misfortune of landing on Umar Johnson's Facebook page, where he calls himself Dr. Umar Ifatunde, with Ifatunde meaning God has returned. *SHAKING MY HEAD* Anyway, Umar tagged a picture that he found of this young man, this rapper who calls himself Logic, as Unapologetically Afrikan. Umar Johnson, Umar Johnson, Umar Johnson.  What can one even say?  Please consider the quote below to get an idea of what I'm talking about. So, it follows that if he doesn't respect himself, he clearly cannot respect others. Well, I suppose those haters just keep on hating, right?  And Umar has named someone name Mukasa Africa or Afrika (depending on your preference of spelling, I suppose) as one of his haters, along with someone named Arthur Ralston, who I have never heard of but is, according to Umar, a big ol' hamburger or cheeseburger eater, along with Umar's alleged cousin, Tarence Bailey, an alleged Army agent . Below is a picture of Umar Johnson, supposedly at his graduation ceremony in which he received his doctorate degree.  If this is a picture of Umar at a graduation ceremony in which he received a doctorate degree, then he’s wearing the right gown.  The hood or stole he’s wearing doesn't symbolize a degree in Social Sciences, which would include Psychology.  The stole  for someone getting a doctorate in Psychology is gold.  The cap Umar is wearing is for someone who is getting a bachelor degree or a master's degree, not a doctorate degree. I am very sorry to say that some of our most loved and respected media personalities have been, to paraphrase our good brother, Malcolm X, hoodwinked, bamboozled,  and led astray. I feel the need to apologize to Roland Martin, Rock Newman, Boyce Watkins, and our brothers and sister at the Breakfast Club, as well as other Black people in the media who have been duped. Why? For Umar Johnson. I'm not saying that I'm responsible for Umar Johnson and his tomfoolery.   Goodness knows I'm not. What I am is so sorry that our loved and respected media personalities and outlets have been taken in by a fraud. I'm sorry that, generally speaking, Black folks seem to be more impressed by style than by substance. I'm so sorry that keeping up with Umar Johnson's antics seems to be a full-time job. Umar thinks he's slick, but if you really listen you will hear Umar Johnson talk in circles. For instance, in the video referenced below, Umar says that he can't understand why it's even relevant that he does or does not have a doctorate when 99.9% of those on the 'conscious' circuit don't have much formal education at all.  So, Umar wonders, why are people asking about his degrees when no one else on the 'conscious' circuit has a degree? Uh, because YOU , Umar Johnson, SAID you had six degrees and it is those degrees that supposed to make you an expert in your lecture topics.  That's why it's relevant! But anyway, he further doesn't understand why people would question him (because of course, NO ONE should question Umar Johnson), because he posted pictures of himself and his family at his graduation on his social media.
