Financial Rapist

Well, now, I must confess.

I have never heard the term "financial rapist" before until I listened to Lenon Honor interview a sister named Mary Ann Lorient.

Who is Ms. Lorient?

From IMDb:
A writer, filmmaker, marketer and film distributor, Mary Ann made her first feature film debut with the drama Rachel's 9TH Inning (2015), based on her novel. A story centered on domestic violence in professional sports. She is the founder of Lorient Vision Production. She is the author of two books Rachel's 9TH Inning and The Little Creole Pig.
Ms. Lorient endeavored to make a film, called Awakened, based on the life and works of Umar Johnson because Umar Johnson requested this from her.  He requested this after Ms. Lorient, contributed $2,000 to the FDMG project.

Mind you, I am using the word "works" quite loosely, since we all know that Umar Johnson doesn't seem to do much in the way of work.

Of course, Umar Johnson, like researched her, found out what she does, her income and living status and anything else he could find out about her.  When he finally spoke with her to acknowledge her donation, he said, "next time, make it $4,000."

Sound familiar?

Umar Johnson researched Ms. Lorient, likely in the same way he likely researched people who sent him resumes for jobs that don't exist in a pretend school.

He can size up how much money they likely have based on where they live, work, educational level, etc., and therefore, Umar can estimate how much money they have that he can get his hands on.

Ms. Lorient always behaved with Umar Johnson in a professional manner, made sure to keep her distance from Umar as far as her personal self (ex. not going to his hotel room, always having others with her when she met with Umar Johnson, etc.)

Of course, Umar was trying to get "cookies" from the actresses on the set.  There also seemed to be a kerfuffle regarding a particular actress with whom it appears that Umar was trying to make "milk and cookies."  Funny enough, this same actress has a cousin with whom Umar either has made "milk and cookies" or was at least trying to get in her kitchen.

See what I did there?

It's a small, small world, isn't it?

The actress allegedly had to eventually leave the project and was paid by Ms. Lorient because of a situation involving Umar Johnson and his behavior.  I'll leave that as it is.

In addition, Ms. Lorient has an attorney who drew up a contract for Umar Johnson to sign in order to participate in this film endeavor.  Umar continuously avoided signing the contract.

Because Ms. Lorient wanted to keep the production going, she used Umar without the signed contract.

Big mistake...

Why?

Because, eventually, Umar threatened to sue Ms. Lorient, claiming that he never signed a contract.

Well....he didn't.  He didn't because he didn't want to and came up with every excuse under the sun, moon and stars to avoid signing the contract for the very reason stated below.  Umar is very sneaky and crafty.

He claimed that he was going to sue Ms. Lorient for $500,000.  Fortunately for Ms. Lorient, she had her back covered.  Thank goodness for that!

Umar and his scheming and scamming doesn't end.

I confess that there's a LOT of detail that I haven't outlined here, including the fact that Umar Johnson convinced Ms. Lorient to fire the actor who was supposed to play him so that Umar can play himself.

Play himself...

See what I did there?

And see what Umar Johnson is doing?

Ms. Lorient is right.  Umar is a financial rapist.

  1. He's siphoned money from Black people for a non-existent school.
  2. He's used people to get money, food, a place to live, and who knows what else.
  3. He's avoided paying child support, or paid for it "in bulk" for over 20 years thereby not taking full responsibility for his children.

Yes, Umar Johnson is a financial rapist.
