Now I Get It
I get it now. I see why the state of Pennsylvania has a problem.
After all, at least according to Umar Johnson, Philadelphia alone has thousands of therapists practicing without licenses. So, if the state of Pennsylvania has that, the state may not see anything wrong with Umar Johnson and what he is doing.
Remember, the hearing officer is an attorney, not a mental health provider. It's clear that she doesn't understand the norms, standards and regulations of the mental health field. If she did have a working knowledge of the mental health field, she would know that one who claims to be a therapist or a psychologist is supposed to have a license.
This is significant because the hearing officer unequivocally stated that it is clear that Umar Johnson does not have a license.
Since Umar does NOT have a license, he cannot legally claim to be a psychologist, a clinical psychologist, a child therapist, a psychotherapist or any of the other bogus claims he has said. Further, there is plenty of evidence of Umar Johnson speaking way outside the scope of school psychology.
So, let me get this straight...is the hearing officer claiming that simply speaking on a topic makes one an expert? That like saying that talking about building a house since undergraduate school makes me an expert in home building.
But anyway...
The next part I'm going to highlight is significant because it highlights Umar's supposed work history. It says he was working as a school psychologist at Mathematics, Civics & Science Charter School in Philadelphia from 2011 until 2018. It was in 2018, after the hearing, that Umar claims he resigned.
The 'resignation' is suspicious to say the least, but I'll address that later.
But for now, here is what's interesting:
And if Umar Johnson worked at this school since 2011, why wouldn't this be reflected in his TIMS record?
Okay...
So, to me, it's logical to look at this school. Google, here I come!
So if you go to Google and type in Mathematics, Civics & Science Charter School in Philadelphia you will find an annual report dated 07/01/2013 - 06/30/2014. On page 26 of this report, one finds Dr. Umar Johnson, Psychologist, working at 0.25 FTE (full time equivalent) hours.
Okay, full time would be 40 hours a week. Let's calculate 0.25 FTE (full time equivalent) hours.
That is 10 hours a week, Folks.
Now, let's look at the caseload that Dr. Umar Johnson handled with 10 hours a week. If you go to page 27 of the report, you will see that Dr Umar Johnson, Psychologist, handled 30 students.
So, are we to believe that Dr. Umar Johnson, Psychologist, handled 30 students cases in 10 hours a week FTE hours when there are meetings, paperwork, files, in addition to interacting with administration, students and faculty?
Please!
Umar spends more time reviewing movies, soliciting 'wife resumes', threatenting people who disagree with him, trolling his babymamma, and asking mothers to turn their 14-year-olds who are "popping cookies" over to him than he does working with students, faculty, staff and parents as a school psychologist.
And speaking of teenagers 'popping cookies,' one wonders if s man who speaks this way is the appropriate person to be working in a school, whether he's degreed and certified or not.
Let's go on...
The dates Umar was supposedly working at this school is significant because if he's been working at this school from 2011 until 2018 as a part time school psychologist, how was it that he was a principal of a school while soliticing donations for his invisible, non-existent, phony-baloney school in addition to traveling all over the world?
Can an administrator work at one school, even as a part-time worker, while publicly soliciting donations for another school, and while traveling all over the world giving speeches?
Give me a break!
Remember this report covers 07/01/2013 - 06/30/2014. Are their other reports?
Now, if this doesn't make sense to me, a lay person, why wouldn't it make sense to a hearing officer in Harrisburg, PA?
I'm sure that there's more to the story...staying tuned.

But for now, here is what's interesting:
- Why did it take a hearing for us to find out where Umar worked?
- Why wouldn't Umar just be straightforward and tell people where he was working as a school psychologist?
- Why not simply show the degrees that he supposedly earned?
And if Umar Johnson worked at this school since 2011, why wouldn't this be reflected in his TIMS record?
