Straight Up Fraud!
What Umar Johnson is doing is straight up fraud. We've known that for a long time. But now, Umar Johnson is being quite blatant about it.
Firstly, our good brother, Make a Change, checked out Umar Johnson's assertion that the City of Wilmington gave FDMG non-profit status so that the property tax bill doesn't have to be paid going forward,
According to Make a Change, who is always quite thorough, this isn't true.
Secondly, Umar Johnson recorded himself bragging about "gifs" (not graphic interchange format) and donations that he was sent, in order to prove how much Black people love him.
So, what is my point?
Umar Johnson is committing fraud and is stupid enough to brag about it on social media.
That's my point.
Umar Johnson is lying about having a non-profit status because, as explained in the video created by Make a Change, FDMG is not a non-profit organization. It is commonly known by now, if you've been paying attention to this blog, or to any videos by any of my fellow Anti-Fraud Warriors, that Umar Johnson's FDMG lost its non-profit status in May of 2017.
What does all of this mean?
It is illegal to accept donations for an organization without non-profit status and it's illegal to lie about an organization's non-profit status while accepting donations.
I wrote an email to the Delaware Department of Education back in July of 2019. I got a response from the Delaware Department of Education and it is pictured below.
I didn't donate to this fuckery, but if I did and now know that Umar Johnson is a fraud, I would file a complaint at the Delaware State Attorney General's office using this link:
